When should I use a Face Mask?
I think we all love to use a face mask as a special treat but why don’t we use them more often? Face Masks have the power to intensely improve our skin's condition complexion by refining pores , drawing out impurities, increasing hydration and even out skin tone. So why don't we use them more often?
Let’s talk more about these essential products for our skin. When we should use them really depends on what type of mask you’re using. Ideally we should be using a mask at least once a week.
Best all round mask
Hydrating Clay Mask this mask can be used in three ways it is extremely hydrating
1 . The first way you can use it is a plastic even layer and leave it on for 10 minutes then remove it with your cleansing cloths and continue your skincare regime. This is my fave way to use this mask. I feel glowing and supper smooth straight after.
2.The second way you can also use it more for oily skins is by applying a really fine layer after you’re a AVST cream and leave on overnight.
3 . The third and final way would be to use as a micro Exfoliator you apply thin-layer over the peak-ended oil and massage into the face for 3 to 5 minutes; it will then lift off any excess dead skin lead in the skin, hydrated and glowing. I also use this method if I am feeling partially oily some days.
Anti Pollution Mask
The newest addition to the Environ mask family is the Anti Pollution Mask this one is great for all skin types it helps to purifies the skin are normalise it is especially needed during our current climate where mask wearing is on every day essential and the blue light is affecting us through our daily electric consumption, this Japanese charcoal-based mask helps to absorb pollutant impurities to refresh and purify the skin you leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes up to 3 times a week and remove with warm water. My go to if i've travelled into London or somewhere with a lot of pollution or even if I have had a long day in front of the computer ( I literally have it on now lol)
Anti Aging
One of my personal favourites is the Tri BioBotanical Revival Mask, this is nicknamed “face it in a jar“ it’s for everyone especially ageing and scarred skin it helps to hydrate lighten, brighten and exfoliate, and took three years of the longest clinical trials to create. This mask promotes the synthesis of growth factors that are important in the regenerative process of skin, it helps to lift and firm dramatically and tighten the skin it also helps with lighting pigmentation and bringing radiance whilst reducing pore size. This mask you use in a step up system gradually increasing the amount of time you leave it on for starting off using it twice a week for 10 minutes and going up to in week five using it overnight 3 to 7 times a week. I use this one nearly every night now and wake up absolutely glowing!
Oily blemish prone skin
And last but by no means least we have the Hydroxy Acid Sebu Clear Mask. This mask is specifically designed for acne or congested skin it helps blackheads and hormonal breakouts, it has lactic acid in there which helps to exfoliate the skin surface by breaking down the ’glue’ that holds the dead skin cells to the fresh skin. You leave it on for 10 minutes and can build up to 20 minutes removing it with water and you can use it 2 to 3 times a week. I like to use this one when I get hormonal breakouts or that annoying big spot that just wont shift. It helps it along a bit hahaha.
Conclusion
In summary as well as a treat Face Mask are an essential for self care and our skin in general as they really do so much that benefits your skin's need in a little amount of time, so whether its a glow for a special occassion or daily maintenance there is a mask to suit your lifestyle.
